After graduating from the University of Alabama Business program with a major in Management Information
Systems and a minor in Computer Science, I started my career at The Home Depot's
Store Support Center (SSC) in Atlanta Ga. I was very fortunate to start my career working with the IT Helpdesk
as a third tier Helpdesk support developer. I was able to learn the value of good customer support (even
if it is internal), and in this role I was able to work with most of the IT departments at the SSC. After
a few years my career started taking a different path from development. I became a team lead, and
started moving towards project management.
When an opportunity to transition to project Management full time arrived I moved to the Finance side of the
IT organization and began my next journey.
I worked in this department as a Project Analyst, then Project Manager, and finally a Senior
Project Manager. I was able to work on some amazing projects for the Finance department.
Including projects in Informix, SAP, BCS, and Ariba systems.
I really enjoyed my time at The Home Depot and feel I was able develop and hone my skill set. When
my husband switched jobs and our second child was on the way, I decided to take a break from IT to
focus on being a Mom. While this new career has not helped me with my IT skill set, it has definitely
helped me to develop time management, multi-tasking, and customer support skills.
Working at NeuroRobotic Technologies has given me opportunities to continue to grow my skill set in
project management, and customer support. I have also had the chance to learn a little about
robotics. I am thrilled to be working with NeuroRobotic Tech at this exciting time.
